who I am?
Hi! I am Charmaine, the heart and hands behind Sewn 2 Dance. As long as I can remember, I have been passionate about art and bringing my visions to life. Sewing for over 45 years and a former nurse of 27 years, I’ve always loved helping people feel their best -whether in health or in confidence on stage.
Now, I pour my passionate into creating custom competitive dance that brings dancers dreams to life.
As a mom and grandma to a wonderful dance-filled family, I understand how much time, effort and heart that goes into every performance. That’s why I design each piece to let dancers shine, move freely and feel unstoppable.

When my daughter fell in love with dance, I quickly realized how hard it was to find the perfect costumes. Unfortunately our experience led us to see firsthand how hard it was to find costumes that truly fit- physically and artistically. After years of frustration with poorly made, restrictive designs, I put my 45+ years of sewing experience to work.
What started with fixing costumes turned into a passion for creating them—pieces that move with the dancer, feel like a second skin, and let their performance shine. Today, I specialize in custom couture competition dancewear, crafted with precision, care, and a deep understanding of what dancers need to feel confident on stage.
